Advice from one of the bosses

Assalamualaikum.

All praises to Allah.and peace be upon His messnger.


I just wanna share a story told by one of the O&G staff specialist.A really good man he is.Though him being a Russian - with a very strong Russian accent - always reminds me of Call of Duty (of which the bad guys in that game are always Russians.or Arabs).heh.

Well, the story goes like this:




There was an airplane that crashed into the sea. Everyone survived the crash but it turns out that men and women somehow ended up in two different islands as they tried to rescue themselves from getting drowned in the rough sea.

So there they were.all the men in one island and all the ladies in the other island.

They got stuck in that situation for quite a while such that they reach a point when they cant stand being separated for much longer, as they have families,girlfriends,wives,husbands,daughters,sons in different islands.

And so all the men gathered around to discuss how to deal with this situation.


Men in the 20's and the teenage boys said : 'we should just swim to the other island .It's not that far.we can make it!'


of which the guys in their 30's replied: 'Are you crazy? The water is infested with man-eating sharks! we say let's build boats and use them to go to the other island'


Those in their 40's and the elderly replied calmly: 'nah,let us just sit tight on this beautiful island. maybe the ladies will come and meet us here. let's just wait for them'





So what's the lessons here?

Well, the staff specialist said we young 'doctors' often tend to think and behave like those youngsters in that story. Sometimes, especially when you're in the O&G department, you need to at least try thinking like those men in their 40's.
