Ikhlas - Lesson 1

Assalamualaikum

All praises to Allah.and peace be upon His Messenger.


The last few weeks alone, I have learnt a lot about Ikhlas.Many people,great people i mean, have provided me with many lessons about that much sought-after quality.



Lesson 1:

The sheikh who was giving the talk that I attended once asked the Imam of Masjidil Nabawi :

"How could you,stand at the exact spot where Muhammad S.A.W. once stood?how could you give speeches on the exact mimbar where Rasulullah S.A.W. had reveal the word of the Quran to the sahabah? How could you do all this with such sincerity and avoid yourself from having a sense of takabbur or greatness?how do you get such ikhlas?"


of which the imam responded :


"The Ikhlas come from Allah...you must first have desire for Allah and do all you can to get to Him.and while you do that,constantly ask for Ikhlas from Him"
