His words.

Assalamualaikum..

All praise to Allah.And peace be upon His messenger.



This particular ayat of this particular Surah really caught my attention.It occurs to me that this ayat has pretty much summed up what it means to be a Muslim.



وَالَّذِيۡنَ صَبَرُوا ابۡتِغَآءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَاَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاَنۡفَقُوۡا مِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰهُمۡ سِرًّا وَّعَلَانِيَةً وَّيَدۡرَءُوۡنَ بِالۡحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ اُولٰۤٮِٕكَ لَهُمۡ عُقۡبَى الدَّارِۙ‏


And those who persevere seeking the countenance of their Lord and establish prayer, and expend out of that wherewith We have provided them, secretly and openly, and combat evil with good. These! for them is the happy end in the Abode
(Ar-Ra'd:22)





And for its relation to our current situation, I would like to emphasize on the 'combat evil with good' statement. Certainly,Islam do not recommend fighting fire with fire.(of course, I didnt mean literally)

Just put a thought on it for a moment.and reflect it on our life.

um...according to the malay translation in my tafsir: "menolak kejahatan dengan kebaikan".... i thought it means something like we overcome evil by doing something good/ bring goodness, what do you think?
