seek first to understand.then to be understood.

Assalamualaikum.

All praises to Allah.and peace be upon His messenger.

"seek first to understand.then to be understood"

This is one of my all time favourite quote.simple it may sound, but I reckon it is one of the most important lesson in life that we frequently neglect.we have too much prejudice against things that we do not understand about.

We often complaint and harshly criticise those from different races, those who practice a religion not familiar to us,those who are from a different economic status, and even those who drive a vehicle different than us.

We tend to curse and have revengeful thought against those people.even for the smallest mistake that they have made..sometimes,we just hate them without any apparent reason at all! we hate them just because they are different..when you put a thought on it,such behaviour seems to be very ridiculous indeed.sadly though, that is how most of us live our life, without realising it.

If only, car drivers would understand the needs of motorcyclists.and motorcyclists would understand how difficult it is for car drivers to always be alert with their presence, and hence avoid riding their motorbike recklessly.

If only, the non Muslims would understand how important it is for Muslims to have their prayers being performed five times a day.

If only, the Muslims would understand that pork is a common delicacy for their non Muslims counterparts, and thus that attribute should be respected.

There are of course heaps of other examples that you and me can relate to in our daily life.so let's us ponder on our deeds so far.try not to always see things as we are, but instead as they are.

Just a reminder to a very forgetful me.

cheers.
