Kuala Lumpur...

assalamualaikum...peace to all..

i have been living in selangor for more than 10 years and the so well-known Kuala Lumpur has been like my playground...however, the metropolis always got something that can suprise me...i just wanna share one of my experience during last Ramadhan..

i went to the suffocating streets of tunku abdul rahman with some of my classmates in Taylors to buy some baju raya...though, i didnt buy anything..but that's not the main point here..there we perform our prayers at masjid jamek and have our light break fast..it's my first time being at the mosque during breaking fast...i also saw a long queue of people.looks like they are waiting for someting...actually the mosque were giving goodies which are foods and drinks..what amazed me was that most of the people queuing were not muslims..and some even not malaysians...this view really touch my heart...this is what Islam is..Islam gives shelter to others...provides comfort for others regardless of races...islam is peace...but then, are we muslims really hold to that principles?...i truly believe that the name 'jamek'(or jamaah) given to the humble mosque in the heart of 'wonderful' KL is worth it....
